De som idag saknar möjlighet att tillägna sig kunskap om hur en dator fungerar, riskerar att hamna utanför hela den demokratiska processen. Problemet med modern teknologi är att man i de flesta fall måste veta hur den fungerar för att kunna tillgodogöra sig dess funktion. Genom intervjuer och enkäter ger undersökningen indikationer på hur äldre människor över 55 år (seniorer) nyttjar datorer och Internet (IT)..

This study investigates the internet habits of students in the Swedish gymnasium. The part that internet plays in their lives and their attitude towards the educational system is reflected upon the philosophical background that stretches from Kant to postmodern philosophers such as Baudrillard. The aim is to create knowledge about how the social aspects of the internet affects their concepts of reality and their own and others identities. The method used for the collection of empirical data has been semi-structured interviews, preformed with students in a Swedish gymnasium. The data is then interpreted against the theoretical and philosophical background.

The aim of my study is to look at two specific schools and their work with Internet in the classroom and compare their work to what experts say about how you should educate. The study focuses on how teachers guide the students to be critical to the information they encounter on the internet. What do the experts say? How should the teachers work with Internet in the classroom? What do the teachers say about their work with Internet? What do the teachers say regarding children and the Internet?  To answer these questions I have interviewed two teachers from different schools, which had classes with children 6 to 8 years old. The schools are very different from each other concerning investment on Internet devices in the classroom.

The internet has fundamentally changed the way people communicate. With all the information that we are sharing over the internet, and the ways which companies want to use our information, the importance of keeping our private information secure has increased. This thesis aims to discover what attitudes internet users have against privacy on the internet, and what ? if anything ? they are doing to protect their personal privacy.We distributed an online survey to internet users in the Stockholm area, and conducted three interviews with persons in our target population. The results of these studies show that people in general are very aware of privacy concerns on the internet, but that their attitudes toward how important personal privacy on the internet is, differ somewhat..

Bakgrund: Internet används globalt inom många områden och aktuell forskning visar att gravida kvinnor använder Internet till att söka information om graviditet och förlossning. En graviditet innebär många frågor hos kvinnan och kvinnor söker efter information för att få en trygghet och försäkran om att allt är normalt med deras hälsa och barnet i magen.Syfte: Syftet är att undersöka gravida kvinnors informationssökning via Internet avseende graviditet och förlossning.Metod: Beskrivande tvärsnittstudie. Datainsamling skedde via en enkätundersökning och data analyserades med deskriptiv och jämförande ansats.Resultat: Nästan alla kvinnor i undersökningen använde Internet för att söka information om graviditet och förlossning. Kvinnorna söker information om barnets utveckling, kost/näring och graviditetslängd i hög utsträckning. Högutbildade kvinnor har andra kriterier för trovärdighet på hemsidor än kvinnor med lägre utbildning.Slutsats: Barnmorskor bör vara medvetna om gravida kvinnors användning av Internet samt själva skapa sig en uppfattning om informationen som de gravida kvinnorna läser på Internet.

This study is based on an examination of students? habits of using the Internet in formal and informal environments. The focus within this study is on what kind of activities students use the Internet for and how and if their teacher connect the students actual usage of the Internet to base the education in school on it. What we have discovered in this report is that the student in this examination uses the Internet as a tool for communicative and entertaining purposes. Though, the use of the Internet is different depending on which physical environment it is situated in.

Syftet med uppsatsen var att undersöka attityder och förhållningssätt hos en grupp lärarstude-rande till hur Internet används för undervisning och som verktyg i det framtida arbetslivet. Resultatet visar att inställningen inte är en odelat positiv till detta vilket går att tolka på olika sätt. Datorvanan hos de blivande lärarna varierar kraftigt från nybörjarnivå till mycket van användare. Källkritik är något som tas upp av samtliga blivande lärare som viktigt att tänka på, liksom etiska frågor. Essensen av undersökningen visar på en osäkerhet hos blivande lära-re inför hur innehållet på Internet kan användas i undervisningen.

The usage of internet is growing significantly every year in today?s society and whether you like or not, the internet has an influence in your life. It is therefore important to find out how people are affected by its use. We have through our study interviewed a number of people that uses internet on a day to day basis, who have agreed to live without internet access for a period of time. We started out by interviewing these people about their internet usage and what it means to them, then proceeded with their non-internet access period.

Background: Internet is a new phenomenon; small companies have only used Internet a couple of years. Internet created a lot of new possibilities for the companies. Internet is a new marketing and communication channel for the company. Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to examine how small companies can use Internet as a strategic tool. I detta examensarbete har 31 enkäter delats ut till privatpersoner. Syftet med detta arbete är att belysa några faktorer vilka kan tänkas påverka en person att känna osäkerhet vid hantering av transaktioner via Internet som vid e-handel och bankärenden. People with disabilities constitute a big group of Internet users. Due to great advances in adaptive technology for people with disabilities more and more disabled will have access to Internet. Kompetensutveckling av personalen och internutbildningar har varit ett hett debattämne de senaste åren. Numera är Internet/intranät och interaktiva självstudiekurser ofta ett alternativ till traditionell lärarledd utbildning. Vi ville därför undersöka hur lärande via intranät sker, hur sådana internutbildningar upplevs av deltagarna och att försöka ge förslag på hur dessa kan utvecklas ytterligare. För att uppfylla våra syften har vi valt att utföra studier hos tre av Volvos återförsäljare. Volvo har sedan en tid tillbaka en internutbildning som kombinerar lärarledda lektioner med självstudiekurser via intranät.

Då verkligheten ständigt förändras och skolan skall ha möjlighet att utveckla goda läroprocesser under APU, måste det ske i samklang med APU platserna. Inom de yrkesförberedande utbildningarna är APU (arbetsplatsförlagd utbildning) ett viktigt verktyg för att göra våra elever medvetna om hur dagens arbetsmarknad fungerar och vilka förväntningar som kommer att ställas på dem som blivande arbetstagare och medarbetare. Genom vårt utvecklingsarbete med att utveckla APU-dokumentation på Internet, hoppas vi kunna förbättra och förenkla framtida dokumentation under APU. Vi menar att vikten av hållbar dokumentation ger handledaren och pedagogen möjlighet att kontinuerligt följa elevens kunskapsnivå och personliga utveckling. Syftet med vår undersökning har således varit att undersöka om vi med APU-dokumentation på Internet som verktyg i gymnasiet kan förbättra informationshantering, dokumentation och kommunikation samt underlätta samarbetet mellan handledare och skola i jämförelse med nuvarande handledarpärm. Vi gjorde kvalitativa intervjuer med totalt sex handledare som arbetar som frisörer.

The aim of this master thesis was to find out about librarians opinions of childrens libraries on the Internet, if it is a resource to reach children. Qualitative interviews were conducted with three librarians who had participated in the construction and development of childrens libraries on the Internet. IT and the Internet play an important role in childrens lives and children are using it to a greater extent. Libraries have begun to integrate IT and Internet into their services and are offering service on the Internet. The public library websites are usually for grown-ups and very few are directed to children.
